Re: Andy Wardley Day

That was indeed a fun day. As a result of having the opportunity to fly the Benson kites (Deep Space, Outer Space, BOT) I went to Dan's shop (http://www.gwtw-kites.com) and picked up a Box of Tricks, and since I happened to be on my way down to San Jose this afternoon, I stopped in at shoreline and gave it a whirl. It is a great kite that taught me how to do a double axel within 5 minutes.

Regarding the dynamic bridle on the jam session: The design that I'm using on the Jam is known as a "dynamic bridle" which is described in detail on Andy's site (http://andywardley.com/). This bridle is a little different than the "active bridle" that is being used on the outer space, which Andy explains as having all the benefits of a normal dynamic bridle with none of the drawbacks. I've had some success with the dynamic bridle on the Jam, but I think it still needs some additional tuning. I'd like a good clean day to really tune out the dimensions of the thing. Once I think I have it tuned out, or atleast close I'll post the dimensions. One benefit that I've noticed so far is that the jam will Flik Flak much easier now.
